Revision History
Laravix keeps a history of every save. If you break a page or just want yesterday's version back, revisions have you covered — nothing is ever lost by saving.
What gets recorded
A new revision is created:
- every time you save the content form — it captures the title, slug, status, homepage flag, publish date, blocks and all field values (including SEO fields),
- every time you save in the visual builder — it captures the builder layout.
Each revision remembers who made it and when.
Viewing revisions
- Open the page or post for editing.
- Scroll below the form to the Revisions panel.
- You'll see a table with the date, author, title and status of each revision — newest first.
Restoring a revision
- In the Revisions panel, find the version you want to bring back.
- Click Revert on its row.
- Confirm the dialog.
The content's title, slug, status, publish date, blocks and fields are restored to the state stored in that revision, and the page reloads.
Warning: Reverting replaces the current values. If you might need the current state again, save the content once before reverting — that stores it as its own revision.
Frequently asked questions
Does reverting also restore the visual builder layout? Revisions store the builder's block data that the form knows about. If the design was made in the visual builder, check the page in the builder after reverting and re-save it there if something looks off.
Can I delete old revisions? Yes — select rows in the Revisions panel and use the bulk delete action. Normally there's no need; revisions are lightweight.
Who can revert? Anyone who can edit the content — editors and admins.
