Your Profile and Account
Every user can manage their own profile — name, photo, email and password. This article shows where to find these settings and how to change them safely.
Opening your account settings
- Click your avatar (profile picture or initials) in the admin panel.
- Choose the profile / account settings option.
You can also use the quick action Account settings in the top bar.
The page is split into two tabs: Profile and Security.
Profile tab
- Avatar — upload a profile photo (up to 2 MB). You can crop it into a circle directly in the upload dialog. If you don't upload anything, Laravix shows your initials on a colored background instead.
- Name — your display name. It appears in content lists as the author and in activity logs.
Security tab
- Email — the address you log in with.
- New password and its confirmation — must be at least 8 characters.
- Current password — required to confirm any change on this tab.
Tip: Change your password immediately if you suspect someone else knows it. There is no "log out other devices" button, so a new password is the way to lock others out.
Frequently asked questions
I forgot my password. Ask a site administrator — they can't read your password, but a super admin can create a fresh account or the developer can reset it from the command line.
Changing my name doesn't change existing articles. It does — the author name shown in the admin is always your current profile name.
